Happy New Year!
So far things are looking good in 2008. I spent New Year's in Dallas with some close friends. I really enjoy getting to spend time with my friends. I did a lot of traveling over the holidays and it was good to get back to LA and relax a bit. Of course, I wasn't looking forward to going back to work...but what can you do.
Good News... I was accepted to Gonzaga University! This was really great news to start my year off with. I will be pursuing a Masters of Arts in Communication and Leadership Studies. I'm looking to start my first class next week. Kind of scary and exciting all at the same time.
I've spent a great deal of time following the presidential debates and primaries. It was a huge victory for Barack Obama to win Iowa. I'm hoping he can pull off another win in New Hampshire on Tuesday. I watched all four hours of the debates last night and enjoyed every minute of it. I think this election is such an important election and I'm so excited to be a part of it.
Barack's win in Iowa was a truly historical night for many reasons... If he can win New Hampshire, I think he will be the democractic nominee, which makes me so excited. I've been a Barack supporter every since he was elected as a Senator.
I could go on and on... but I will not.
I'm began a pretty hardcore workout again. All of the holiday eating kind of put a kink in my health kick I've been on... So back to the gym and eating properly.
I've been bad about blogging lately. I've been in a pretty good place though lately. I think the recharge of friends and family really helped me out. I'm looking forward to some great things ahead in my future. I'm not sure what they are just yet... but I know they are there.
But I'm a grad student!!! Wow!

It's great to hear you are back on track. I know how important it is to get that shot of friends and family. I was without it for so long, I felt myself becoming a person I didn't like. I love my family very deeply and am happy to be back home. I may not have the income I would like to have, but it is worth it to be close to them and be able to share in their growth and their lives. I have very few friends, so my family is a very big part of my life.
I pray that school will inspire you and you will find the job that will make you happy until you retire.
